Now What?

After finishing my cake decorating class I wanted to continue on my own so I got a great book by Wilton called 'Decorating Cakes - A reference and idea book'.  I've done a lot of these cakes straight from the book, or with different colors choices.  Although some are my own design, which I am sure you'll be able to recognize!

Autumn Rose

Tried Cream Cheese Frosting with this one and a spice cake. Yum yum!

Techniques:  Vines (I drew mine freehand first with a toothpick) and beads.

Yellow Chrysanthemum with White Ribbon

I wish you could see this one in person. It was so pretty.

Techniques:  Combing the side of the cake, chrysanthemums, and the ribbon.

Chocolate Almond

My first chocolate cake.

Techniques:  Fleur de Lis and shells.

Christmas Tree Candy Cake

I had a terrible accident with a stencil attempt, and ended up with this 'save'!!

Techniques:  A little imagination and a lot of goodies in the cupboard!
