OUR NEW HOUSE

Building a house from the ground up - here we go...

After looking for a house for two years, we finally stumbled upon this piece of land and a contractor who wanted to build for us.  So, we took the leap!  And what a leap it was...
BEFORE

We've got almost 2 acres here and we're up high.
AFTER

well, almost done anyway...

Now, if you want the nitty-gritty, here are all the details in-between the before and after.

Breaking Ground!!

The windows are almost TOO big, if that's possible.

Up goes the siding.

And yes, I chose the blue - and love it!
Finally Done!

Sugar & Spice in the same cage! A First!!

Sugar bullied herself in... this would've never happened before THE MOVE!
The Kitchen - yup, it's blue too!

The stools will have to go, I redid them and they're awful. But useful, for now.
Great Room off kitchen

Our first big purchase - a leather couch for Josh

This is in the great room and will accent our Singing Butler picture over the fireplace.

A Personal Note:  I have a few more pictures of the inside, but my camera, or the website is not cooperating... As I go along and decorate I will take pictures and update this site.  I was shocked to see that I hadn't done any updates at all since MARCH of 2004!  Wow, talk about being tied up - building a house is time-consuming, that is for sure.  And people always talk about how stressful it is.  They are right.
