My First Groom's Cake |
|
This was for a Cleveland Browns fan. I put green coconut grass around the 'football'. |
Chocolate Shavings Cake |
|
Tried shaving chocolate on this one. Used a vegetable peeler. Imagine that! |
And the infamous Scooby-Doo! |
|
My first 'character' cake. Took more time than I thought. |
Raspberry Cake (with Wilton's Whipped Cream) |
|
This had raspberry filling and fresh ones on top. The whipped cream frosting was delicious! |
Tennis Anyone?! |
|
This was my first try at a tennis racket... and balloons. Those strings would break off. |
Wow, took a little break (from cakes) this summer. Now that it's getting cooler I'm just starting
to get back in the mood. Speaking of mood, try not to get too spooooked with this first cake. Got a little thing
for spiders, in case you haven't figured it out yet. If you want to see more, check out our Halloween costumes this
year on the Hodgepodge page. Ooooh, scary!
Spider Cake, complete with Blood Red cake inside! |
|
Those yukky green things are, of course, trapped and webbed spider prey! eeewwwww! |
Here's a close-up of that creepy crawler! |
|
Nice fangs!!!! |
My first baby shower cake. This one was for Mindy |
|
The tummy was built up 2 inches high with frosting. |
I want to note that this fun idea came from another website I happened to stumble upon looking
for groom's cakes. It's Lucy's cakes and she's got a lot of great ideas. Check it out.
Happy New Year Cake |
|
I like all the colors on this one... very festive! |
Valentine's Day Cake - how romantic! |
|
This one assembled fairly quickly. Making the flowers the day before took the longest. |
